Learn about the principles of floral design and create current arrangements for the home, flower shows, and other Garden Club activities. 4-6 seasonal workshops are held each year.

help children understand and relate to the natural world to provide a connection between what they do and the impact it has on our environment. Members can volunteer to assist with the monthly programs.

Members volunteer to provide a flower arrangement or plant material to be displayed for a week at the Chappaqua Library. Please take plants/flowers to the main desk on either Sunday or Monday and pick up your arrangement the following weekend. Please label your container.

Mark your calendar now for our January 24th Book Club meeting, 7:00pm at Melanie's. Bring your favorite tree, bird, or plant identification book to discuss so that we can all become more knowledgeable gardeners! Explore garden design through arranged local outings to both member and public gardens. Learn about propagation, garden sustainability, cultivation and conservation of flowers, trees, plants, (particularly native plant species), and issues in gardening practices.

Monthly visits to the Victoria Home in Ossining to assist nursing home residents create seasonal floral arrangements to bring happiness into their environment. This interaction is a rewarding experience for both member and resident. Visits generally are approximately 60 minutes at Victoria Home. Victoria Home is located at 25 N. Malcolm Street, Ossining, NY.
Flower prep at Barbara’s home at 9:15 am followed by a visit to Victoria Home at 11 am.
There will be an evening wine and cheese meeting sometime in January. Not just for new members, but all are welcome to come and learn more about the club. Please consider bringing a friend as well!
